The Board of Trustees' are pleased to announce that effective March 1, 2017, the Iron Workers Local 11 Welfare Fund will eliminate cost sharing for in-network annual physical examinations and four cancer screening procedures.

The Board of Trustees of the Iron Workers Local 11 Welfare Fund have approved the modification of your dental benefits, administered by Delta Dental PPO.

At the June 14th, 2016 Board of Trustees Meeting, the following change, effective July 1, 2016, was approved by the Trustees for the Welfare Fund: The Hearing Aid Benefit has been increased from $1,200.00 per ear to $2,200.00 per ear for Active Members and their eligible dependents. This benefit remains payable once in any 36 month period.

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the Fund will provide comprehensive PPO networks for the Fund’s dental and vision benefits. These PPO networks will replace the existing benefits provided through the Fund for active participants and covered dependents, including those participants and dependents covered by Cobra, effective March 1, 2016. Ironworkers Local 11 Welfare Fund is pleased to announce a new Prescription Benefit Manager, BeneCard PBF, who will administer your prescription benefit program, effective January 1, 2015.

At the September 17th, 2014 Board of Trustees’ Meeting, the following change was approved by the Trustees for the Welfare Fund:

Effective September 16, 2013, the Board of Trustees have determined to amend the Annuity Plan pursuant to Section 4.8 to define the term "Spouse".

Effective September 16, 2013, the Board of Trustees have determined to amend the Pension Plan pursuant to Section 8.1 to define the term "Spouse".

The Board of Trustee has voted to allow participants to borrow from thier Annuity Account for expenses due to Economic Hardship caused by Natural Disaster (Hurricane Sandy).

Please be advised that the District Council Ironworkers Welfare Fund of Northern NJ has made a change to its Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Benefit Carrier for Active members. This change does not affect the amount of your life insurance coverage. Effective August 1, 2012 the carrier will be AIG Benefit Solutions.
